I visited Paris for the first time in 2007 and it was love at first sight! Since then, I visited at least once per year.
Paris is one of the most beautiful city in the world. I have visited 28 countries till now and it is still one of my favorites!
You cannot admire the Parisian architecture without noticing the famous Haussmann Plan, a modernization program of 19th century Paris, commissioned by Napoleon III and managed by Baron Haussmann. The project which featured all aspects of urban planning established the image of today’s popular representation of Paris around the world and played a key role in creating the capital’s charm and beauty.
Here are 20 things to do while in Paris:
1- Trocadero & Tour Eiffel & Champs de Mars
I recommend that you plan to go during the day and the night. Do not forget to pass by at specific times at night to see it shine. For me, it looks like a dancing lady!
2- Arc de triomphe & Champs Elysees
3- Notre Dame De Paris & Quartier Latin
4- Place Concorde & Jardins des tuileries & Musee du Louvre
5- Sacre Coeur
Do not forget to pass by La Place du tertre where painters gather. You can pay to have your own portrait.
6- Jardin du Luxembourg & Pantheon
The Sorbonne University is not far from there.
One of the most luxurious palaces I have ever seen. Do not forget to reserve time for the gardens which are splendid.
8- Moulin Rouge & Pigalle street
I recommend that you book tickets to watch the show.
9- Opera Garnier
You can do a guided tour or check ahead of time if you can watch a show.
10- Bateaux Mouches
11- Saint Germain des Pres
Nothing special from outside. There is a mall there. I recommend to go up instead of going up on the tour Eiffel as the view and photos are more interesting.
There is an excellent Argentinian restaurant not far called “Les grillades de Buenos Aires”. It is expensive but has really good meat.
14- Galleries La Fayette
It is expensive but I recommend to go inside to see the beautiful architecture.
15- La Defense
It is for businesses. You have to know that the mall is open on Sundays.
16- Les Invalides
This is the location of Napoleon’s Tomb.
17- Musee d’orsay
18- Les bouquinistes & quai de la seine
19- Musee Grevin
20 – Disneyland
My list can go on and on without getting bored. But actually this is not my favorite list. This is the traditional list. I will write soon about activities I have done in Paris that will make your visit very special.
Stay tuned! Keep curling!
